Let’s Start Interfering in American Elections | The Chopping Block

No, seriously
Michigan Senator-Elect Abdul El-Sayed made his opposition to the trade war with Canada a centrepiece of his campaign.

For the last month, the Trump administration has been claiming that Canada has been interfering in the American midterm elections. And the US ambassador has said that the president will likely blame Canada for losses in Michigan and Maine.

So if we’re going to be falsely accused, maybe we should just start doing it anyways. Should we be bribing legislators? Or creating an AIPAC for Canada? Maybe we can use the multitude of Canadian Hollywood celebrities to honeypot governors and senators?

On today’s episode of The Chopping Block, we take a look at all of our options. And we dig into the war between the American owners of Stelco and the Canadian government.
